What “Block Blast online” means
The online version of Block Blast is the same puzzle you know from mobile: a square grid, three pieces at a time, and lines that clear when you fill them. The difference is where it runs. Instead of an app, it loads inside a web page, on whatever device you are holding.
That makes it the fastest way to play. There is no store listing, no update to wait for and no storage space used on your phone.
How to start playing
- Open BlockBlast.ie in your browser.
- Wait a moment for the game to load in the frame at the top of the page.
- Drag one of the three pieces onto the grid.
That is the whole setup. If you want a bigger board, press Fullscreen above the game. If the page around the game distracts you, press Lights off.

Block Blast online runs in every modern browser:
- Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on Windows, macOS and Linux

You do not need a fast computer. The game draws a small grid and a handful of blocks, so it runs smoothly on older laptops and budget phones.
Online version or the app?
The app is handy when you have no signal. The online version wins everywhere else: it starts instantly, it is the same on every device, and you can play on a computer where you cannot install anything. Many players use both, the app on the train and the browser at a desk.
If the game does not load
- Reload the page once. A slow connection can interrupt the first load.
- Turn off strict content blockers for the page, since the game runs inside an embedded frame.
